NASA Global Hawk flight over Tropical Storm Nadine – Sept. 26-27, 2012

NASA’s Global Hawk flew its fifth mission over Tropical Storm Nadine. The Global Hawk took off on Sept. 26nd from Wallops Island, VA (around 6:30AM EDT) and returned 26 hours later, Sept. 27th.  This is part of their field campaign called Hurricane Severe Storm Sentinel (HS3). HRD scientists processed the dropwindsondes for this flight. The unmanned aircraft flew the flight pattern shown.
