OPERATIONS
NOAA P-3s
NOAA-42 is scheduled to begin back-to-back (approximately) 8 hour missions in TS Alex in support of EMC. The first mission will depart MacDill AFB at 4 AM Monday, June 28, 2010, and return to MacDill AFB. The second mission is scheduled to departure from MacDill AFB at 4 PM, Monday, June 28, 2010, and return to MacDill AFB.
Follow-on missions will depart 4 AM Tuesday, June 29. Missions will continue on this (4 AM followed by 4 PM) schedule until the system makes landfall, dissipates, or are halted due to crew rest requirements or the need for 50-hour inspections. Approximately 4 back-to-back missions can be accomplished in this manner before the aircraft stands down for a 12-hour period.
NOAA-43 is not currently available for a mission.
NOAA G-IV
NOAA-49 has been tasked by NHC for a mission tomorrow (Monday, June 28, 2010) afternoon.
AFRC DRIFT BUOY DEPLOYMENT: No missions are scheduled for next 24 hours.
CONFERENCE CALL: No conference calls have been scheduled.
