Mission science summary for September 25, 2010
IFEX
There are no missions planned for at least the next 24 h. NOAA is watching the western Caribbean for possible development of a tropical cyclone, which if it occurred would likely be in the 3-5 day time frame.
GRIP
No missions are currently planned for the next 48 h. The HIWRAP and LIP instrument have been de-integrated from the aircraft, and a determination will be made as to whether the HAMSR needs to be de-integrated. There is a potential dropsonde ground test planned for Monday Sept. 27.
WB-57 has no plans to fly in the next 48 h, but is on alert for a possible mission on Monday, if a tropical cyclone develops that is in range.
PREDICT
The G-V has a hard down day Saturday. Sunday is a maintenance day. There is a potential mission planned for Monday.
AIR FORCE
The Air Force has no missions planned.
