NOAA-42: Returned to MacDill AFB this evening with three HRD scientists aboard at about 9:40 PM EDT following completion of an IFEX mission in TD 5 (AL94) over the Gulf of America. The follow-on missions in this system that were tentatively planned for Thursday, August 12, 2010, at 4 AM EDT (0800 UTC) and 4 PM EDT (2000 UTC) were canceled. No further flights are planned at this time for NOAA-42.
NOAA 43: Unavailable.
G-IV
NOAA-49: Returned to MacDill AFB this evening at about 7 PM EDT with one HRD scientist aboard after completing a mission around TD 5 (AL94). No further G-IV missions are planned at this time.
AFRC DRIFT BUOY DEPLOYMENT: No missions scheduled for next 24 h.
CONFERENCE CALL: No conferences calls are scheduled for Thursday, August 12, 2010.
This will be the last HFP update message. Messages will resume when meteorological conditions warrant.
