NOAA P-3s

NOAA-42: Plans are for N42 to begin EMC tasked TDR missions in AL97 … with the first flight departing from MacDill AFB Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 4 AM EDT (0800 UT). Missions would continue every 12 hours, with the next mission’s departure Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 4 PM (2000 UT). Missions to continue on this schedule until the system makes landfall, dissipates, or are halted due to crew rest requirements.

NOAA 43: Unavailable.

G-IV

NOAA-49: The G-IV has been tasked by NHC for a synoptic surveillance mission around AL97 tomorrow, Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Take off from MacDill AFB is scheduled for 1:30 PM EDT (1730 UT). No HRD personnel will be aboard this mission. Follow-on NHC tasked synoptic surveillance missions are possible.

AFRC DRIFT BUOY DEPLOYMENT: No missions scheduled for next 24 h.

CONFERENCE CALL

A conference call is scheduled tomorrow, Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 10:30 AM EDT (1430 UT) to discuss the meteorological situation. A “GO – NO GO” decision will be made during this meeting.
