Six scientists from AOML/HRD have deployed to Tampa today in anticipation of ferry flights from NOAA/AOC tomorrow to Barbados. They will be joined there by two other AOML/HRD colleagues flying down commercially. Starting on Saturday they will be ready for a series of IFEX experiments into and around what is presently Tropical Storm Earl. The NASA GRIP team is considering forward deployment to St. Croix of their DC-8 to carry out complementing research missions.
