Dr. Katelyn Schockman joined AOML’s Ocean Chemistry and Ecosystems Division as a University of Miami-Cooperative Institute post-doctoral scientist. Katelyn works with the Ocean Carbon Cycle group by applying her expertise in marine physical chemistry of the inorganic carbon system in seawater to start a pilot project to produce seawater reference materials, as well as better characterize the composition of seawater to improve projections of future changes in the ocean due to ocean acidification and climate change.
