The Hurricane Research Division collects radar data sets on most
tropical cyclones they fly into. We collect these data sets from
the NOAA P3 aircraft radars and
process them at the end of each Field Program. By clicking on a
storm and year from the list below you will go to a page which
shows composites made during the flight and transmitted to the
OAR in near real-time, labeled 'Operational
Composites'. Under 'Research Composites' are the graphics that
were created after the Field Program, when time was taken to
process the radar data at a higher resolution and larger spatial
scale.
Please note that we don't necessarily collect radar information
on every hurricane that occurs, so this list isn't for
all of the storms for every year.
