“Understanding the intertwined nature of our oceans with the global climate has been the passion steering me towards a life-long career in oceanography. Getting the chance to first-handedly observe and collect measurements of the ocean in real time is the cherry on top- when you do what you love and love what you do, you’ll never have to work a day in your life!”
Dr. Leah Chomiak is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Cooperative Institute of Marine and Atmospheric Studies (CIMAS) at the University of Miami and NOAA AOML’s Physical Oceanography Division. Leah is a sea-going physical oceanographer studying large scale circulation and hydrographic changes of the deep Atlantic Ocean working to understand links to our changing climate through observations collected at sea.
