Jon Zawislak attends NASA’s Global Hydrology Resource Center (GHRC) User’s Working Group Meeting

The meeting was held 26-27 September at the National Space Science and Technology Center Bud Cramer Research Hall in Huntsville, AL.  The purpose of the working group is to establish science user input in the planning, development, and operations of the GHRC and to represent the science user communities in reviewing and guiding the GHRC activities and development.  Jon is a chair of the working group.

The GHRC mission is

  • To serve as NASA’s Earth science data stewards for scientific, educational, commercial and governmental communities, with a focus on Severe Weather data including precipitation, lightning, hurricanes and other severe storms, and the global hydrologic cycle.
  • To provide knowledge augmentation services encompassing tools, infrastructure, user support, and expertise to our stakeholders.
