The NOAA P-3, with HRD scientists on board, has completed an NHC tasked reconnaissance mission into Tropical Storm Isaac. The track of the mission as flown is shown below. The P-3 is enroute back to Lakeland, FL.

NOAA42: The NHC tasked reconnaissance mission into Isaac, originally planned for a 6 PM EDT takeoff from St. Croix, has been cancelled as the airplane returns to Lakeland to wait out potential tropical storm conditions in St. Croix associated with Issac.
NOAA49: The G-IV will fly a synoptic surveillance mission around Hurricane Florence, collecting near-storm and environmental observations. Takeoff from Lakeland is scheduled at 1:30 PM EDT (1730 UTC).

NOAA42: The P-3 will fly additional NHC tasked reconnaissance missions into Isaac, with the first mission leaving Lakeland tomorrow morning and recovering in St. Croix. Additional NHC-tasked missions will be flown every 12 hr into Isaac, as needed. No HRD scientists will be on board these missions.
NOAA49: No flights scheduled.
