Hurricane Field Program Update – Friday, August 17, 2018, 10 AM ET

Saturday, August 18, 2018: 

NOAA42:  The P3 will ferry from Long Beach, California, to Honolulu, Hawai’i, in preparation for missions into Hurricane Lane.  No HRD scientists will be on board.

NOAA49:  The G-IV will ferry from Lakeland, Florida, to Honolulu, Hawai’i, in preparation for missions around Hurricane Lane.  No HRD scientists will be on board.

Sunday, August 19, 2018:

NOAA49:  The G-IV will conduct a synoptic surveillance mission around Hurricane Lane, departing Honolulu, Hawai’i at 1730 UTC, returning there about 8 h later.
