UAS Global Hawk: Was scheduled to fly over Tropical Storm Erika this morning. This flight has been pushed back to take off on Saturday.
NOAA43: Flew an EMC operationally tasked Tail Doppler Radar (TDR) mission into Erika. This means that NOAA’s Environmental Modeling Center (EMC) is interested in collecting data and has requested this flight. They took off at 0600 UTC (2:00AM local) from Barbados. This flight landed in MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL. Three HRD scientists were on this flight.
G-IV: Is scheduled to fly an NHC operationally tasked synoptic surveillance mission. This means that the National Hurricane Center has requested this flight to collect data around and ahead of the path of Erika. Take off is scheduled for 1730 UTC (1:30PM local) from Barbados. This flight will land in MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL.

UAS Global Hawk: Is scheduled to fly over Tropical Storm Erika. Take off is scheduled for 1100 UTC (7:00AM Eastern) from Wallops Island, VA. It will fly a 24 hour research mission over the storm. This mission is part of NOAA’s Sensing Hazards with Operational Unmanned Technology (SHOUT) field campaign.
NOAA43: Is scheduled to fly an EMC operationally tasked Tail Doppler Radar (TDR) mission into Erika. This flight is scheduled to take off at 0600 UTC (2:00AM local) from MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL. Three HRD scientists will be on this flight.
