AX20

This transect was implemented in 1995 in the Frequently Repeated mode, in which XBTs are ideally deployed every 100-150 km. In 2012, this transect has been updated to the High Density mode, in which XBTs are deployed approximately every 30 km. The main objective of this transect is to complement the transect AX08 and to support the NASA SPURS project. For more information about the operation of this transect click here.
