WSR 2000 sondes
The Winter Storms Reconnaissance experiment (WSR) is an on-going NOAA
experiment to improve short-range forecasts of winter storms in the
north Pacific Ocean which make landfall in western North America. Part
of the project involved NOAA G-IV, P-3, and Air Force C-130 aircraft launching
dropsondes over the ocean to provide energentics data on these storms.
Below are listings of sonde data from the NOAA aircraft as part of the WSR
mission.
