NORPEX 1998 sondes
The NORth Pacific EXperiment (NORPEX) was a joint NOAA/Navy experiment to '
improve short-range forecasts of winter storms in the north Pacific Ocean
which make landfall in western North America. Part of the project
involved NOAA G-IV and Air Force C-130 aircraft launching dropsondes over the
ocean to provide energentics data on these storms.
Below are listings of sonde data from the aircraft as part of the NORPEX
mission.
