Doppler wind analyses CAUTION : CLICK LINK BELOW Important information on Doppler radar data In 2006, there was an usually high number of situations where the inertial navigation data on the NOAA-42 radar tapes was very inaccurate. Although we have attempted to modify software to catch some of these errors, some will still affect the analyses. Users should take care to make sure all regions of the analyses seem reasonable when using the data. This will also affect the quality of some of the doppler radial velocity files, and care must be take when assimilating the data in models, or using the radials in an objective analysis.
