Jack Stamates is an oceanographer with the Ocean Chemistry and Ecosystem Division and is the director of the Florida Area Coastal Environment (FACE) project of the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory. Jack’s focus is on costal oceanography, coastal ecosystem health, land based sources of pollution and acoustical oceanography. Jack received an AA in music or music education and a AS in electronics engineering technology from Miami Dade Collage, a BS in Mathematical sciences from Florida International. University and a MS in applied marine physics from The University of Miami/ Rosenstiel school of marine and atmospheric science.
