Directions: The hotel is an estimated 10 miles from Miami International Airport (MIA), depending on your route. Exit the airport following signs for 836 East (Dolphin Expressway). There will be an automatic toll while heading east on the 836. Immediately after the toll, merge to the right and exit onto I-95 South. Follow I-95 South and take Exit 1A (Rickenbacker Cswy, Key Biscayne). Go straight through the first light and follow the bend in the road to the left. Turn right at the next traffic light onto South Bayshore Drive. Follow South Bayshore Drive for aprox. 2.4 miles. The Courtyard Marriott will be on your right. The entrance is off of Darwin, on the right immediately before the hotel.

 

 

From the hotel it is approximately a 20 minute drive to AOML on Virginia Key. Arrangements will be made for carpooling with NOAA staff if you will not have a car of your own or do not wish to drive yourself.

 

Directions to AOML from the Courtyard Marriott: Turn left onto South Bayshore Drive. Proceed 2.4 miles and turn right onto US1, Brickell Avenue. Take the next right onto SE 26th Road (the toll booths will be immediately in front of you). Toll for the Causeway is $1.75. Proceed 2.9 miles until you reach the second traffic light. Turn left at the traffic light onto Virginia Beach Drive. AOML is the building on the left. Park anywahere in our lot and enter the building via the stairs across from the flag pole.
