Sustainable Aquaculture Virtual Library

Compiled by Maria Bello, Librarian, NOAA Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC), Miami, FL
and Eileen McVey, Aquaculture Information Specialist, NOAA Central Library, Silver Spring, MD
Database work by Gloria Aversano, Randy Bossarte and Christie Wiley

This database is an initial effort to isolate the most relevant scientific publications discussing sustainable aquaculture issues, projects and technologies. Emphasis is on the marine environment, but some publications cover freshwater aquaculture issues. Publication dates range from 1999 to 2008. The scope is international and some of the citations may refer to publications not available in the English language. Citations were taken from the Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts database.

Any additional suggestions for contributions to this page are welcome. Please contact the Aquaculture Information Specialist, Eileen McVey, to submit citations for consideration. Please include article title, book or series title, author, publisher, date of publication and other relevant information such as URL when contributing a citation. We hope to update this bibliography annually as time and resources allow.
