Environmental Studies of Anthropologic Discharges in the Coastal Zone:

Port expansion activities give rise to massive quantities of dredged material requiring disposal in the coastal zone. When offshore disposal sites are in proximity to coastal amenities, discharge operations may be affected by prevailing environmental conditions. This presents a need for remote real-time monitoring of critical environmental parameters.
