Introduction

The Nutrient Enhanced Coastal Ocean Productivity (NECOP) Data Management Program (NDMP) is designed to ensure tracking of samples and archival of all NECOP data on uniform formats, thus allowing ready access to data by NECOP investigators and the scientific community at large. The NDMP may broadly be described as possessing several functions: oceanographic sample tracking, data review and formatting. data dissemination, formation and supply of data products, and data transmittal to the National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC).
