  <Data_set_References></Data_set_References>
<Additional_Information>During this first cruise of the field season, the recording of the ship's sensors had configuration problems. There were two significant gaps in the GPS record, which were filled by interpolating between good satellite fixes. The minor gaps in the atmospheric pressure and salinity data were also filled by interpolation. The SST as measured by the SBE38 was most often recorded with +/-1 degree Celsius resolution; the truncating of the values was due to poor configuration of parsing protocol. For the 1748 analyses with good water flow and full-decimal SBE38 data, the average difference between the Equilibrator temperature and the SBE38 SST was 0.35 (+/-0.09) degree. For the more than 2400 analyses without full-decimal SBE38 data, the SST was estimated by subtracting 0.35 from the Equilibrator temperature.
