Figure 4.  Radial cross-section of reflecitivity and wind through a cell in the north-east eyewall.  The wind field was constructed by placing Doppler observations in a frame of reference travelling around the storm with the speed of the tangential wind, and thus placing the wind more properly for the purposes of determining cell-relative motions.  Note the weak-echo region that is somewhat reminiscent of a bounded weak echo region.  Horizontal component represents radial motion from or toward storm center, while vertical component is the vertical component of the wind.
