The NOAA N43RF will fly an post Rita AXBT survey of the Gulf of Mexico. The NOAA P3 will leave MacDill AFB,FL at 10:00 AM EDT and will recover at MacDill AFB, FL at 6:00 PM EDT.
Mission Summary :
The NOAA N43RF flew an NHC-tasked SFMR mission into Hurricane Rita. The NOAA P3 left MacDill AFB,FL at 10:00 AM EDT and recovered at MacDill AFB, FL at 5:00 PM EDT. A total of 54 AXBTs were launched of which 51 worked.
