NASA AV6 will conduct a Intercomparison mission with NOAA G-IV aircraft. It will drop mini-sondes in the same environment as the G-IV GPS sondes. It is scheduled for 1200 UTC takeoff from Wallops Island, VA and recover at Armstrong airbase by 0000 UTC of the next day.
