NOAA 49RF flew a Genesis mission around Tropical Disturbance AL95 which was recalssified Tropical Depression 15 during the flight. The G-IV left MacDill AFB, FL at 1717 UTC and recovered back at MacDill at 0100 UTC.

Problems :

A crack developed in the wind shield of the G-IV on its return leg of this mission. The aircraft will ferry to Savannah for repairs on Sept. 24, 2010 and be unavailable for a second mission into TS Matthew.
