NOAA 43RF flew a TDR mission into Hurricane Irene east of Florida. The P-3 left Macdill AFB, FL at 0818 UTC and landed back at Macdill AFB, FL at 1535 UTC the same day. Four penetrations were recorded with 32 dropsondes launched of which 29 were transmitted.
