NOAA 42RF flew a TDR mission into Hurricane Irene north of Hispanñola. The P-3 left Macdill AFB, FL at 0814 UTC and will land at Macdill AFB, FL at 1621 UTC on the 24th. Four eye penetrations were recorded, and 28 dropsondes were released with 24 of those being transmitted.
