¥ Sample an E-W transect from 60-35 W, crossing an ÒoldÓ SAL outbreak, an AEW at ~45W, and a ÒnewÓ SAL outbreak :
2) Sample the gradients along the
SALÕs boundaries3) assess how well
the GFS was representing the SALÕs dry air (0-20% RH)1) Observe the
differences between the ÒoldÓ and ÒnewÓ SAL outbreaks
(humidity, winds, temp inversions, dust)
