Mission Plan :

NOAA 43RF will conduct an NHC-tasked reconnaissance mission into AL99 in the Florida Straits. If time allows, N43 will climb to 10 kft for a rotated Figure 4, and/or climb to a higher altitude and execute a lawnmower pattern in the environment ahead of AL99.

Mission Summary :

Take off Landing
MacDill AFB, FL 17:03 UTC MacDill AFB, FL 00:36 UTC

NOAA 43RF conducted an NHC-tasked reconnaissance mission into AL99 in the Florida Straits. Data from 2500 ft closed the circulation and provided the necessary information to upgrade to TD9. Once released from NHC-tasking, N43 climbed to 29 kft and conducted a lawnmower survey with 8 drops in the environment west and north of TD9. Drops were located on the turn and end points of the 2.5 leg, east-west oriented lawnmower.
