Batch of was at 1, fixed it now, time between profiles is at 1.5. I haven't touched Amverseas, and I only checked my messages a lot during the first couple of days. As of now I check messages once when I wake up and once during the night, maybe once in the middle of the day too. Also, is it normal for get_messages to take like 5+ minutes?

You're transmitting too often, are you clicking on batch transmit after every probe?
If you are, don't worry about doing that, Amverseas will take care of the transmissions.
If you're not then it's probably misconfigured.

Go to Setup-->Tranismisson.. and make sure that "Batch of" is set to 5
and "Time between profiles" is set to 1.5

Remember that every time a connection to iridium is made, we are charged $00.92 even if the connection doesn't go a full minute.

For this reason also limit the number of times you use rasdial.
