The data files and the GPS files are enough ax07 wrote: from:ax07 to:lu02@noaa.gov subject:Re: Re Re so...... I sent you a lot of GPS files that were created on the 28th. I had the GPS issues early morning of the 28th. GPS issues corrected itself after restarting the computer. Iridium source has been disabled. Does the weather station laptop comes back with me or does it stay on the vessel? lu02 wrote: from:lu02 to:ax07@noaa.gov subject:Re: Re so...... Hi Patrick, Take care of your back!! don't get hurt out there! Let us know how the swap goes on Friday but the Diego launcher seems to be working fine except for tube 6. You sent the 25th but Shenfu can get positions from the XBT profiles for those measurements. Was that the day you had bad GPS? Maybe Amverseas recognized that the position was bad and didn't save it......... BTW, How did you fix the GPS issue? Also, make sure that that the Iridium source of position is disabled in the transceiver interface. Send me yesterdays GPS file and the weather station file so I can compare. Thanks man. Stay safe! Pedro ax07 wrote: from:ax07 to:lu02@noaa.gov subject:Re: so...... Hello, I stayed with the first one. I hurt my back switching out the AL a couple of times. I think I know what the issue was. I have to figure out how to test it. AMVERSEAS produces an error when the same probe serial number is used. I think for both days that I tried switching AL, I had that error. So yesterday, when I gave up and went back to Diego's AL, I had the same issue where I couldn't manually deploy. I was getting the serial number error as well. I changed the serial number and then, I was able to manually deploy. I thought I was keeping tract of my serial numbers but I guess I keep missing a couple. I am going to stick with Diego's AL till Friday. The ship might stop again (it has currently stopped right now) on Friday and another day after that. They are set to make it to Spain on the 7th of June. There are daily GPS but the one on the 26th is missing. Did I send you that one? I copied them down just in case (But I don't have the 26th). Am I suppose to bring back the weather station laptop with me? Also, the Captain asked me to give a presentation last Saturday to the crew and apprentices about XBT. I asked him if we can do it again and take a picture so he can be in AOML's newsletter. He was up for it so I was wondering if you can set it up to get it in the newsletter. So what did you end up doing? Are you still using the 1st launcher? Did you have to switch to the 3rd launcher? Did the 1st launcher fail big time? Are there daily GPS files? Send me the outputs of the commands I sent you.
