I keep telling myself it's not over yet, but it's sad and frustrating. The constant gloating and spamming comment sections from the right is exhausting. I know reading comments is kind of a bad habit, but usually NPR is relatively safe from nutters. Sigh.... Yeah, Shadowcat is small too...I'm not sure if she's just small or is an older juvenile. But she really blends in - sort of a brownish/greyish/stripey pattern. The meowing went on for a few minutes before I got up to see, and she was right outside our door wandering around. Got spooked when she saw me and stopped but she just sounded so sad. I hope I didn't scare her too much, but it went on long enough I worried there was a cat in pain out there. She sounded more forlorn than hurting, but it went on for at least a few minutes before I decided to check. She seemed fine once she saw me - scampered off right away and then stared at me from a safe distance - but I'm not sure why she was so meow-y to start with. I haven't seen any other cats near her the two times I spotted her, so no Spot. I haven't seen Charcoal either so hopefully he got the hint finally. Spot is Spot, he's chill. Shadowcat would probably be terrified of him if he took a dislike to her. Okay. Let me know when you won't be getting messages here anymore. Still planning to get in Saturday night around 9:00? I love you and miss you. Wish you were here on Crazy Tuesday. Such a long day. And now exercise and then dinner.... Love you lots, ~Lauren ax07 wrote: from:ax07 to:lu01@noaa.gov subject:Re: Re checking in Hi sweetie, I have it now. It's possible that it wasn't picked up and sent before you shut the computer down or something. I have it now. I saw the stuff about the report. it's unfortunate, but not entirely unsurprising. He would have to follow the original issue given, which was collusion. And if they don't have enough evidence to directly say that he colluded with the Russians to meddle in the elections, he probably couldn't do much. That's also likely why he farmed the other stuff out to SDNY. That way they could prosecute what was found in the report even if Muller couldn't do anything under the heading of collusion. Oh? Hmm. interesting. I hope she's alright. She might just be new and be scared. Hope Spot's doing okay. Sounds like more and more cats are starting to come around. Hopefully he's friendly with the new one. I love you too. So, it looks like the work part of the trip might be done tomorrow, aside from taking stuff down. Sounds like we'll be sitting outside the port for a day or two waiting to get in. I'll send a message before I take everything down and let you know what the status is at that point in time. Once I get to the hotel and get internet, I'll send you a message in the normal way. Hugs, love you and miss you. I don't see it in my outbox but I swear I wrote yesterday. :/ I'm alright. Not sure why you didn't get my message. Yesterday I basically just said it was a normal Sunday and I was doing laundry, and then more stuff about the Muller report. Today's just another Monday. There's a new kitty roaming around though. She was meowing really loudly Saturday night so I went out to check and see what was happening. She's super skittish. I saw her yesterday too, barely - she really blends in, so I named her Shadowcat. Haven't seen her today...just Spot. I hope this email reaches you! I love you. ~Lauren ax07 wrote: from:ax07 to:lu01@noaa.gov subject:checking in Hi Sweetie, I haven't heard from you in a couple of days and I just wanted to check and see if everything was going okay. I'm alright here, just want to make sure you're alright. Love, Zach
