from:ax07 to:lu02@noaa.gov subject:Arrival Date and Fwd to Ricardo Hi Pedro, Looks like we won't be in until the 27th or 28th of March. I just talked to the Chief officer and he mentioned that according to the berthing arrangement, it's currently set for the 28th, but that we might be in on the 27th. Can you please let Ricardo know of these dates as we will need to cancel my current hotel arrangements and find new ones. It also means that we'll have to get a later flight. Can you ask him to see what the flights look like on the 29th and 30th, leaning heavily towards the 30th? That way if we get in on the 28th, we'll still have the same flight. That all could change in the next few days though. We've had rain the past few days and from what the chief mate said, we're kinda just chugging along with the stormfront. Hasn't been too rough, just windy and rainy. Also, Looks like it's going to be tight on probes out here. I've been doing math on how many probes I have left and the projected number of probes for each section and I should still come out with more probes than I need at the end (according to the projected use from the cruise plan, I'm still at the total +10%, but not much more than that), but it might be a little tight. If it gets tighter or if it looks like I won't be able to get it done with what I have, I'll send you a message letting you know. If I have to tease it out, the rule of thumb is usually to do it as close to the planned sampling rate that will still give room for errors, right? Best regards, Zach
