from:ax07 to:lu02@noaa.gov subject:Re: Re AX08 Checkin Hi Pedro, Thanks for sending that along to him. If you see him, tell him I'm sorry I couldn't get it handled before I left. Messaging seems to be working alright. Download was much quicker than in port. I've also been leaving firefox closed until after I do get_messages as I don't need it up or need it causing issues with the transciever interface when that sends profiles. Also, pass along the message to Francis, I might have identified an issue with the 2018 (and maybe 2017) probes and them "not working". Someone mentioned that they were having issues with newer probes. I have noticed on the 2018 probes that at least a few (I don't know how many as it was only one box and I didn't put two and two together until just now) had wax protruding above the rim of the tube. So, where it normally sinks down below the top of the tube, it was bumped up. I think this may cause issues and may have been what was causing issues with my delinquent tube. I think the pins don't penetrate as good as they should when putting one of those into it. I have not checked yet, but once I open another 2018 box, I will look and try to see. I will take pictures if I can also. This is all still conjecture as I said, but that's a working theory I have. lu02 wrote: from:lu02 to:ax07@noaa.gov subject:Re: AX08 Checkin Hi Zach, I forwarded your message to Francis, I'll let you know what he says. How's the messaging working? Can you receive at a speed or does it take for ever like it did in the port? I'm planning on making some more mods to the email system so get ready for some source code. Talk to you later, Pedro
