from:ax07 to:lu02@noaa.gov subject:Re: sent folder Okay. So, to answer some of your emails, I'll wait to hear back on Monday about the distance drop plan. FTP mail is working alright-ish. Right now, what's happening is that the inbox no longer holds all of the messages in inbox. For some reason when it updates, it only displays the last one or two messages. They seem to all still be in Inbox. I haven't applied the changes to the sent messages folder yet though. Not sure what's causing it. For now, I'm archiving the received messages in the documents folder so I can look back at them. For instance, this last time, I had an email from my wife, your picture and two or three of your emails, but only one shows in inbox. I suspect it's something to do with the tmp folder we made, but I'm unsure and it only started doing it after a reboot earlier. I'll let you read this and implement the sent folder after I hear back. I don't want to have messages lost coming in if the sent folder would cause more issues. Most of the errors from the transciever interface that are occurring are either "unknown error" with the dialer, "unable to" or "could not connect to" "192.168.111.123.132" this: 28 Jan 2018 16:31:06 GMT : An exception occurred while trying 28 Jan 2018 16:31:06 GMT : to establish a connection 28 Jan 2018 16:31:06 GMT : Connection to iridium was already closed is happening more often than seems correct. Those three failure modes seem to be the most popular ones. So far, I've been restarting amverseas while restarting the modem to success. Not 100% for transmitting that big 5 batch chunk, but it seems to work well enough. I'll keep doing that when I notice something stuck in the queue. Thanks for letting me know about AX18. If you talk to him again, tell him to check and keep an eye on how many XBTs he has left. with a deviation like what he has in the picture, it might be an issue, but I'm not sure. Thanks for working with him for the login credentials for livemail. Sounds to me like the u/n or PW is incorrect. I think that's happened before. When get_messages connects, it generally works faster out here. It doesn't always connect, and the name resolution error does occur often, even sometimes after waiting 10-20 seconds after establishing an iridium connection. Mostly recently, if I can get a connection to Iridium, after a few tries with the name resolution error, it connects and downloads just fine and faster than when on land. Best regards, Zach
