amverseas_9.3.2.1.1.1.3.2.1.7.zip

XBT Data Recorder version 9.3.7

Requests:

1.  Adding more Meta data in profiles edition commands in Main menu > Edit > Meta data. These commands allow editing the metadata: Call Sign, IMO Number, Ship Name, Cruise Line and Transect Number.

2.  Adding a new checkbox that works as an on/off switch to activate/deactivate a "Test mode". When "Test mode" is active a big and visible orange text will appear in the background, like a water mark, indicating that the program is in this mode of operation. Only manual launches are permitted. All profiles generated will have 'TEST' as the Call Sign and Ship Name and '1234567' as the IMO Number regardless of the information in the Administration setup in the Seas Console. XBT Metadata, Notification display dialogs, climatology, and bathymetry will not be shown during a drop in “Test mode”. The motivation of this new features is to reduce errors in the metadata for XBT profiles.

3.  When the rider selects Main menu > Tools > Start new cruise, all the information in the Administration setup in the Seas Console will be erased and a dialog comes up to force the rider to enter this information again. Normal operation will not be allowed until the mandatory information on this setup dialog is completed.

4.  After doing Main menu > Tools > Start new cruise the rider will have to select a drop plan before engaging the autolauncher.

5.  The close application window (X) button was activated but you cannot close XBT Data Recorder while doing a drop or the auto launcher engaged.

XBT Data Recorder version 9.3.6

Requests:

1.    Replacing date/time picker fields with basic edit fields.

2.    In order to avoid the use of the same probe serial number repeatedly during a cruise a notification will be triggered. It will work like XBT Probe Serial Number notification.

3.    Adding new feature that allows the user to edit manually the launch note after the drop is finished. Main menu>Edit>Note>Last launch/Selected launch/Multiple launches.

Fixed bugs:

1.  Starting a manual launch and the AOML automatic launcher loses the connection all the buttons still disabled. The unique option to continue is stopping the application using SEAS Console.

      AMVERSEAS_9.3.1.1.1.1.2.2.1.5.zip

Seas Console version 9.3.2

Requests:

1.  It cannot be possible to save changes into Administration dialog (Main menu>Setup>Administration) during an XBT probe drop.

2.  The field Cruise Name into Main menu>Setup>Administration dialog is grayed (which make impossible to edit the field) if there are any files named <cruiseame>*.* into the directory C:\Users\Public\Documents\AMVERSEAS_V9\Sio\Data. To enable editting the field the operator has to run XBT Data Recorder>Main menu>Tools>Start new cruise.

Seas Transceiver Interface version 9.3.2

Requests:

1.  Adding line to the .../Report/SeasTransceiverInterface/DebugYYYYMMDD.txt file to show the date/time if the operator has made persistent changes in Transmitter tab.

Fixed bugs:

1.  In Transmitter tab “Save” button save the change in “Transmit on” checkbox (and possibly other inputs in that window) only the first time that the button is clicked.

XBT Data Recorder version 9.3.5

Requests:

1.  Removing compress the content of the folder C:\Users\Public\Documents\AMVERSEAS_V9\DroPlan into the zip archive C:\Users\Public\Documents\AMVERSEAS_V9\DropPlan_BACKUP_YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.zip from Start New Cruise option (Main menu>Tools>Start new cruise).

2.  The field Cruise Name into Administration dialog is grayed (which make impossible to edit the field) if there are any files named <cruiseame>*.* into the directory C:\Users\Public\Documents\AMVERSEAS_V9\Sio\Data. To enable editting the field the operator has to run Main menu>Tools>Start new cruise.

Fixed bugs:

1.  Setting probe manufacture date on dialog Main menu>Setup>Auto launcher>Setup if the day is less than 13 the program revers the day and month after the window is closed.

2.  Date and time picker (DTP) controls should be editable rather than forcing the user to select a date from the calendar.

3.  Raw data text file, first drop of cruise only, bad meta data: Sequence Number: -1, Transect Number: -1, SOOP Line: Missing.

4.  Convert Raw data to SEAS binary option generates corrupt meta data.

XBT Data Recorder version 9.3.4

Fixed bugs:

1.    Does not retain probe manufacture date when hand launching.

2.    Needed patch because CDateTimeCtrl::GetWindowText doesn't work in wine. It is the reason why AMVERSEAS doesn't retain the date where ever the control is using.

Whole AMVERSEAS applications system

1.  Improving code to run all AMVERSEAS applications on Linux using Wine. Wine is a compatibility layer which allows Windows applications to run on Unix-like operation systems. This increases the AMVERSEAS applications system portability.

2.  Starting the replacement of C Run-Time Library functions for the newer, more secure versions. These less secure versions are scheduled to be removed. This is a necessary step to upgrade to a new version of the Visual C++ compiler.

Seas Console version 9.3.1

Requests:

1.  Implementing command-dispatcher Remote Command System module. This application increases the flexibility of AMVERSEAS by enabling adding, replacing or removing any command handler at any point of time.  "REMOVEREQUEST", "REMOVEOUTPUT", “REBOOT”, "PING", “Change Call Sign”, "Change Ship Name", and "Change IMO Number" commands can be submitted. The command list can be extended on demand.

XBT Data Recorder version 9.3.1

Requests:

1.  Incorporating Turo Devil XBT data acquisition system, this is fully compatible with SIPPICAN launcher and probes.

2.  Adding AMVERSEAS version into the Cruise Report allowing tracking the software version used during the cruise. This is very helpful to find out if a known software error was already fixed.

3.  Expanding the note list into "Add drop note" dialog. This allows the operator performs a primary level quality control.

4.  Replacing "XBT card - No connection" with a more specific text in "Notifications display" dialog. As from the version 9.3 is included Devil "XBT card" is replaced with "MK-21" or "Devil" regarding system's setting.

5.  Removing from log file AMVERSEAS_V9\Sio\Data\CallSequence.txt "Calling PrStat"

6.  Removing from log file AMVERSEAS_V9\Report\XbtDataRecorder\Error<date>.txt "SioLoop: used for "jcall" in subrutine ave"

7.  Upgrading SIO's tools (srpedit.exe, wpsxbt.exe), and SIO's position drop plans (Drop_Plans_from_Glenn_feb2016.zip).

8.  Incorporating AOML XBT Recorder, this is the AOML developed XBT data acquisition system which is fully compatible with SIPPICAN launcher and probes.

9.  Adding new features in the Cruise Report to obtain more complete information from the riders.

10. Adding new column in "Drop plan status" window which shows probe type of upcoming and previous drops.

11. Adding new alert "Ship starts moving". This alert indicates when the ship starts moving - so when the ship is in port overnight it will wake the rider up if leaving before the scheduled time. XBT Data Recorder checks every 10 min if the ship has moved 100 meters from the given initial position.

12. You will not need to stop the auto launcher cycle to open the "Auto launcher setup" window but it will be not possible during a drop.

13. No default value for XBT Probe Date of Manufacture. An alarm will be triggered when it is missing. It will work like XBT Probe Serial Number.

Fixed bugs:

1.  Notification "Max time between drops" doesn't stop even when the "Reset"/"Quit" button is pressed.

2.  When the operator is in hand launch mode the SIO watchdog timer was not being reset, so the alarm kept sounding. To ensure the SIO watch dog timer reset set correct the system in Main menu> Setup > Instrumentation dialog > Hardware system > SIO-hardware (dialog layout was changed).

3.  Initializing "Retry" combo box in Position drop plan setup dialog with "No retry" value to avoid Position Drop Plan malfunction. See Main menu > Setup> Auto launcher > Drop plan > Position.

4.  CMyDateTimeCtrl issue. Manufacturing date was not retained in the auto launcher setup window.

PC Watchdog 9.3.1

Requests:

1.  Monitoring the proper operation of the new component Remote Command System with the intention to keep it running continuously.
