CRER Hull-Mounted Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (SADCP) Data

The file named NF0805_sadcp.mat, located in this directory contains 
the entire processed hull-mounted acoustic Doppler current profiler 
(SADCP) data set for the March 2008 Cruise (NF0805) aboard 
the NOAA Ship NANCY FOSTER.  

The SADCP mounted aboard the NOAA Ship NANCY FOSTER is a 
Teledyne RD Instruments Ocean Surveyor 150kHz ADCP (OS150).  
It's heading source is provided by a POSMV (directional GPS).

This file is readable using MATLAB.  
It contains the following structured arrays:

adp_4m : SADCP data collected with 4 meter bin resolution
adp_8m : SADCP data collected with 8 meter bin resolution

each structure contains the following elements:

u       : east/west velocity component (cm/s)
v       : north/south velocity component (cm/s)
lon     : longitude (decimal degrees)
lat     : latitude (decimal degrees)
tday    : decimal julian day
depth   : depth (m)
matdate : decimal matlab day
