RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Geochemistry of naturally occurring organic compounds in seawater and remote marine aerosols.
Trace organic compound analysis by high resolution glass capillary gas chromatography and combined 
high resolution glass capillary gas chromatography --- mass spectrometry.
The role of the oceanic CO2 system in the global carbon cycle --- measurement of total CO2 by 
coulometry, alkalinity by potentiometric titration, and pCO2 by non-dispersive infra-red 
spectroscopy.
Determination of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and dissolved organic nitrogen (DON) in natural 
waters by high-temperature combustion/direct-injection techniques.
