This was not tropical, but rather a coastal low interacting with a front which made for an interesting mission. We approached from the southwest to 32.0N 77.8W but had a lot of weather enroute so ended up heading north into a box pattern then off to the NE before trying to turn in and follow the winds. We go a wind flip, but nothing good enough for a VDM. After getting to the SE, we went north to 32.0N and headed due west to try to cross the circulation again. We also dropped sondes every 30NM along this route. We started at 500 ft but ended up at 10,000ft due to turbulence and weather (we were in weather and turbulence most of the mission). We ultimately determined there was no closed low level center and did not send a VDM. As far as issues, I got a blue screen of death starting at 2240Z for about 20 minutes. Finally, we had GPS FOM issues and had to switch from C to F (FOM 2 on both systems).
