Norma was close to making landfall so had very abbreviated legs to fix it twice prior to landfall. Met System Used: C, no issues. Equipment Issues: A number of the mini-sondes terminated prior to reaching the surface anywhere from 14-26 meters above the surface. There were also issues with a couple of the drops transferring, but it turned out to be a known MM bug with the 51515 group so CARCAH disseminated those drops (ob 17 and 18). Finally, the drop files were blank when I received them from the LM. After troubleshooting and nothing working I recommended locking the hard drive before ejecting it and that worked. Will let the Chief LM know to disseminate amongst LMs. Not sure if it was because of that or a happy coincidence. Transmitted: RECCOS: 10 VDMS: 2 DROPS: 7 BAD SONDES (Launched, not transmitted): 1 Details: Launch Time Sonde Issue 1726 Height data was questionable resulting in unrealistically high pressures and a SLP of 1070mb.
