​Tropical Depression Three, upgraded to Tropical Storm Chris.  We ended up having to circle for over an hour near Keesler because the field wasn't open and no one was at the Tower.  I passed on the ETA and Alpha Status to KBIX but didn't know no one was at the SOF desk.  The flight plan was scheduled for two hours longer than we flew, and the crew did not call Command Post when we left the WRA.  In fact, when the Nav called them at 30 minutes out, they told him the airfield was open when it, in fact, was not.
Equipment: 
The new VDM worked well.  However, on the first fix, when I went to change the data in the Max Storm FL Wind box, the data did not update when I changed the time and tabbed out.  I had to manually enter the speed, bearing, and range in addition to the time.​
