DDPH: No sig issues systems: Used system C Issues/Remarks: -Flew at FL 025 then climbed to 050 due to weather - We were tasked for a 1730 Fix, however upon getting to the coordinates we were redirected to investigate the SE windfield instead of making the fix. Legs were modified based on new coordinates. Turned around after fix due to fuel leak. -one modified alpha, one fixes ** Val's comments: This was "on-time", because THERE WAS NOTHING THERE! The POD orig tasked 28.5N 85.2W. While in-flight, the crew was given 27.2N 86.3W . New coords were actually 20nm closer to the acft position, so no relief there, but when they got to the new coords, there was no circulation. This was 1726Z, so they had an hour to go to try to find the new circ, but as stated in this letter, NHC had other plans for them. Based on the fact they could have reached the orig coords by 1733Z, they were on-time. It's best to put the tasking times and coords in the "tasking" line above. (2) Due to the IFE, the 2330Z fix was not attempted. NHC released them from going to the spare. This is another thing that should be more explicit in the mission letter.
