(0117E Marty) Did system check after coast out at Cape Canaveral, and the RADALT systems were 40m lower than GPS! GPS hts were closer to the charts center found 34 nm further from the fcst posn plus this was an RP, so give us "on time" credit! 400 mb 7620m Wrote up the SFMR for possible water intrusion... there was no visible sealant on the antenna and went thru very heavy rain, after which the red channel was separated from the other channels by a couple degrees. Screwed up the 2nd VDM by not updating the time and thus had to manually calculate the bearing/ranges to the peak winds, and passed it along the NHC where they input/cor'd the time the sonde failed on that center drop too Penetrations Logged: 0 ARWO:____________________________________ Penetrations Verified: Verifier:____________________________________ Penetrations Posted: Awards:____________________________________
