REMARKS:
Mission was planned for 20Z takeoff, 3+46 enroute, which would give a 
15-min "pad"
Crew opted to try for the "hour early", and I also explained we 
couldn't be too early
(my vote, for a single Alpha, is to make the 2nd fix the "primary", which builds in a 1+45 pad)
After we took off, we flew enrte at 295 kts
Compared to my last mission, which we were concerned about making on time, which we flew at 325 kts
Nav says this burns 650 lbs/hr less
So for 5 hrs of enroute time, taking off later and flying balls-to-the-wall costs nearly as much fuel
as taking off 45 mins earlier and staying out until the same quitting time
In the case of a single alpha, we are saving roughly 4000 lbs of fuel on this mission

Enrte update to coords, 15.9N 81.4W mvmt 270/4 (was previously pegged at 4 kts, and previous crew
fixed it due south btwn 1st and 3rd fixes)

Made a sonde release enrte, took a cal there
Sonde 400 mb HSS: 7578m

took a big bite (35 deg heading change) while still 85 nm out, based on a right turn on winds, and a psbl
half-clear area on radar (junky presentation)
