Evan B. Forde
BACKGROUND

I was born and raised in Miami-Dade County, FL. After attending Miami-Dade Public Schools and graduating from Miami Carol City High School (Class of '70), I attended Columbia University, and received a Bachelor's in Geology (Oceanography Specialty) in May of 1974. I began to work for NOAA as a scientific technician (on a temporary student appointment) during the summer of 1973. After winning a NOAA Fellowship to attend graduate school, I became a full time permanent NOAA employee in 1974, and returned to Columbia University where I studied at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, (L-DEO) and earned my Master's Degree in Marine Geology in May of 1976. After receiving my degree, I returned to work at NOAA's Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorolgical Laboratory, in Miami, FL.

I continue to be very involved in my community.
