Upper Ocean Temperature
Introduction

Annual mean gridded fields of the upper-ocean temperature and salinity in the Atlantic Ocean (between 40N and 60S) are derived from insitu observations. These gridded fields can be used to directly to monitor the three-dimensional thermohaline structure of the upper Atlantic Ocean or indirectly to calculate derived quantities for multiple applications (e.g. comparison with climatologies, estimating heat and fresh water budgets, ocean circulation studies, etc.).
