Pacific

Arlindo
The goal of Arlindo is to resolve the circulation and water mass stratification within the Indonesian Seas in order to formulate a thorough description of the source, spreading patterns, inter-ocean transport and dominant mixing processes.
El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO)
This project is to investigate role of the western Pacific interannual anomaly patterns in the evolution of the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO), in an attempt to improve ENSO predictions.
Interactions between the Tropics and Extratropics
This project is to investigate climate variability of the coupled tropical-extratropical ocean-atmosphere system and to understand how the tropics interacts with extratropics.
Pan-American Climate Studies (PACS)
We wish to understand the role of the Atlantic and Eastern Pacific oceans in the seasonal to interannual climate variability of the American Monsoon.
