Reyna Sabina's main interests include the application of information technology in support of oceanographic research goals.
From 1968-1976, she worked as a Scientific Programmer in the Physical Oceanography Divisioni at the University of Miami Rosentiel School of Marine Sciences. In 1976, she joined AOML Sea-Air Interaction division to work on the CTD high resolution data acquisition phase of the Upper Ocean Microstructure project. Presently, she oversees and coordinates activities of the Physical Oceanography Division (PhOD) data management functions. Provides programming support and input for laboratory and divisional computer needs, including systems analysis and design support; recommends for purchase and purchases software and hardware for the effective management and network access of PhOD data; secures funding for new and ongoing data management programs; formulates, prepares and submits for publication computer research and development products designed for the support of divisional oceanographic research goals; provides computer and data field support in other research efforts.
